Requirements

·         College Degree strongly preferred.
·         Minimum three years' experience coordinating  large scale events.
·         Minimum of two years' experience managing outside vendors, sourcing and negotiating contract services.
·         Experience managing budgets required.
·         Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously without a decrease in effectiveness.
·         Previous experience with participant registration for conventions.
·         Knowledge of cosmetics and hair care products a plus.
·         Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
·         Knowledge of direct sales a plus.
·         Knowledge of hotel, travel or conference industries.
·         Bilingual Spanish a plus.
·         Familiarity with web-based platforms including RegOnline, CVENT, Satcite, Passkey, and SaharePoint helpful.
·         Must be able to travel as needed.

·         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
·         Two years of successful special events (and/or marketing) experience in a non-profit organization or a corporate setting.
·         Valid State driver’s license required


·         Ability to be flexible and adapt with change.
·         Ability to think strategically; multi-task; attend to detail and deadlines.
·         Proficient with accounting principles.
·         Computer skillsThe work is principally sedentary.
·         The employee is typically required to carry light items and may drive or be a passenger in a motor vehicle.
·         The job requires that the employee be present for many activities taking place at odd hours including early morning, late night, and weekends.
·         The job often requires work in excess of the standard 8 hour day, weekend and evening work.
·         Must possess and maintain a valid California drivers license.
·         Ability to manage the expectations of a wide range of clientele.
